Hello!

My name is Sioned Williams, your Plaid Cymru candidate for the Senedd Election in MAY 2021.

Now is the time to start planning for a new future - one which will benefit all who live and work here, and decide what our priorities should be as we deal with the effects of Covid on our communities.

I live in Alltwen in the Neath constituency and I’m a community councillor and long standing local school governor. A former BBC journalist, I now work at Swansea University and my work includes organising public events and community courses on Welsh history, culture and literature across our area.

I care passionately about fighting for fairness and opportunity for the people of the communities of the Neath area and I hope to challenge the indifference and neglect of the past as we face a new future together. We must take this opportunity to strengthen our communities and our nation rather than see them be weakened.

With your support, I will fight to:

• Give Neath a Stronger Voice in Wales, and Wales a Stronger Voice in Britain
• End child poverty
• Give our carers a pay rise
• Introduce free social care just like the NHS
• Deliver a Green New Deal for sustainable economic renewal
